Your dad and I are the Assistant Cleaning Coordinators for the two-week temple closure that is now taking place. Which means we are on cleaning duty two weeks instead of one week like the rest of the missionaries. It is a ghost town in the apartments. The missionaries who weren't on cleaning duty last week flew the coup. They will be back tomorrow for their week of cleaning. Meanwhile the missionaries who had cleaning duty last week are now gone on their vacation. Our Sunday meetings were so empty. Practically the only ones there were your dad and the Prices, the Cleaning Coordinators.

| Ok, I lied. Sister Jensen, the person who took this picture of the Prices and us, was at Church. |

| Very vain, but a second picture to prove that I DO have hair on my forehead! |
One perk of being the only ones in the apartments, is there can be a whole lot of snitching. We invited the Prices and the Hendricks to dinner last night. Ok, I lied again. The Hendricks didn't go anywhere for the two-week temple closure either. Anyway, I didn't have anything that was right for a table centerpiece. So I went next door into the Andersons' empty apartment and borrowed a plant for our centerpiece. I am in charge of watering her plants while they are in California. Her plant needed some company. So I did a good thing, right?
So, are you totally bored by now? I TOLD you "I ain't got nothin', man!"
But I am saving the best for last. It still makes me giggle.
Brother Cannon, one of the missionaries, is always giving me a bad time. He is constantly lecturing and teasing me. One of his smart aleck remarks the other day was, "Sister Eddington, the only reason I'm being nice to you is because I like your husband."
With that little bit of background, on with the story. The other day I was helping with the cleaning of the Sisters' Own Endowment area. I wasn't exactly following the cleaning rules. I had a green abrasive scrubber and was scouring the daylights out of the scuff marks that are very prevalent on a lot of the floor moldings. When Brother Cannon showed up, I quickly stopped my non-authorized scrubbing, straightened up, and hid my "green scrubbing machine" behind my back. He could tell I was up to no good, and called me on it. I started backing away from him saying, "I'm not saying a word, or showing you anything. I don't want any of your lectures." His reply was, "Um, Sister Eddington, do you realize you are backing your way into the Brides' Room, which is full of mirrors?" Busted!
Well, I can now check the box. That's all I "got". Think twice next time before requesting another blog post!
